Bengali Garam Masala | How to make bengali garam masala

Bengali Garam Masala is an aromatic spice mix powder made with warm and fragrant whole spices like Cinnamon, Cardamoms and Cloves. A pinch of bengali garam masala along with a sliver of ghee just takes your dish to the next level.

Equipment

  • mixer grinder
  • skillet

Ingredients

  • 15 grams Cinnamon broken into small pieces
  • 30 grams Green Cardamom whole
  • 10 grams Cloves

Instructions

  • Dry roast cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms in a skillet for 2-3 minutes.
  • Take it off the heat and allow it to cool completely.
  • Using a mixer grinder/ food processor/ coffee grinder grind them into a fine powder.
  • Store it in an airtight glass container. It stays fresh and fragrant for a long period of time (6 months or more).
