~ Julia Child
SO true!! A party without a cake is just a meeting.. 😉
By now you all must have known that my hubby has gone all GLUTEN FREE. and so did I (not completely though) to support and encourage my Mr.
Yes, at times I do miss a good moist slice of a cake, or a cupcake or a doughnut or a cookie. You know sometimes I even dream of cakes. *sob sob* 🙁
Its been so long that I had a cake or even baked a cake. I had some guests coming over this weekend and I wanted to make a quick and delicious, a no-fuss cake.
Nothing fancy!
Comes in this ONE SKILLET NUTELLA PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA CAKE.
I bring to you this super awesome Nutella Swirled {Chocolate Chunk} Peanut Butter Banana Skillet Cake. You wont believe how amazingly delicious and moist this banana cake is. As the matter of fact this cake is so simple and not at all laborious to make. You can’t go wrong with this versatile and delicious cake.
A perfect cake to entertain your guests or in case of an urgent cake need, this one skillet Banana cake is an Ultimate cake and can be whipped up in moments.
It requires no mixer, no big bowl. That means very very less washing up to do. Happy Dance! 😀
Just a skillet and a whisk. And the ingredients of course. Everything mixed and stirred in just one skillet.
I had some over ripe bananas lying on my kitchen counter and I had the perfect excuse to make this Perfectly Moist Banana Cake.
Chocolate and peanut butter, this one combination that everyone in this world love the most.
This Banana cake is loaded with peanut butter and chocolate chunks and now the part I love the most, swirl the NUTELLA spread right into the batter. YUMMMMM so good!
- 100 gms unsalted butter
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
- 100 gms caster sugar
- 75 gms soft brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 ripe Banana, Smashed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 250 gms All purpose Flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- a pinch of salt
- 7-8 tbsp Nutella
- 3-4 tbsp flaked almonds or any other nuts of your choice
- Preheat the oven to 175˚ C/ 350˚F.
- Heat butter in an eight inch cast iron skillet. Remove from the heat once the butter is melted. Then add in the peanut butter and mix it well with the melted butter.
- Than add in the caster sugar and the soft brown sugar and whisk until everything is well combined.
- The pan and the mixture should not be very hot before adding the egg or else the egg will cook. So let the mixture cool down before adding the egg.
- Add the egg, mashed banana and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir to combine.
- Add all the dry ingredient all purpose flour, baking soda and salt and mix carefully until all the ingredients are incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks.
- Spoon the Nutella over the batter and using a butter knife, swirl the Nutella.
- Now put the skillet in the oven and bake the for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Mine took around 22 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool.
- Sprinkle some flaked almonds or hazelnuts or any other nuts you desire.
- Slice and serve this super easy, super delicious Skillet Nutella Banana Cake.
